Running For Rio – Charity Fun Run

In an exciting collaboration between event organizers and the esteemed landlords of Aaron and Kodie from The Rising Sun, as well as the newly appointed Jacob from the Foresters Arms, Bristol is gearing up for a spectacular community event.

Set to take place on Sunday, April 14th, the charity fancy dress fun run is not only a chance for participants to showcase their creative attire but also an opportunity to contribute to a noble cause. The event aims to raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation, honoring the memory of Rio.

Aaron and Kodie, owners of The Rising Sun, express their enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We are thrilled to be part of an event that brings the Bristol community together for such a meaningful cause. It’s heartening to witness the support pouring in, and we look forward to a day filled with joy, laughter, and generosity.”

Jacob, the new landlord at the Foresters Arms, echoes the sentiment, saying, “As the Foresters Arms joins hands with The Rising Sun, we’re excited to welcome everyone for a day of fun and fundraising. Being relatively new to the community, it’s inspiring to see the unity and spirit that defines Bristol.”

The schedule for the day is packed with engaging activities. Participants are urged to gather at the Foresters Arms at 10 am, where live entertainment by Mike Bess will kick off from 11 am to 1 pm. The highlight of the day, the fancy dress fun run, is scheduled to commence at 1 pm, spanning from the Foresters Arms to The Rising Sun.

Upon reaching The Rising Sun, participants can indulge in a complimentary buffet, accompanied by live music by Paul Forster from 3 pm to 7 pm. The festivities continue with exciting live auctions and raffles, providing ample opportunities for attendees to contribute to the fundraising efforts.

For those with a penchant for creativity, there’s an added incentive – a chance to win a £200 cash prize for the best fancy dress participant or participants. The event promises to be a memorable day, fostering community spirit and supporting a cause that resonates with the hearts of Bristol residents. Mark your calendars and be part of this extraordinary day on April 14th!
