Blackboy Hill Cycles is an independent family run cycle shop situated on Whiteladies Road in Clifton, Bristol as well as being one of Bristol oldest established and specialised cycle shops.

We are a main dealer of Specialized bicycles, also offering cycle hire, servicing and repair and accessories. At Blackboy Hill Cycles, our friendly staff are pleased to offer sound advice to all our customers.

Main Dealer for Specialized Bikes

At Blackboy Hill cycles, we sell the entire range of Specialized Bikes as well as models from Dawes, Claude Butler and Dahon (folding bikes). We are able to order all models in for next day delivery and test cycles are available.

All of our bikes are assembled at the Blackboy Hill Cycles shop premises in our workshop. The work is carefully done and tested by our bike mechanics. Please do not attempt to assemble your bike and fine tune parts yourself as it can be dangerous, additionally the warranty on Specialized bikes will be invalidated if they have not been assembled by a main dealer. If you would like us to assemble a bike ordered elsewhere, we are happy to help get you going.

Servicing & Repairs

Blackboy Hill Cycles offer a repair workshop for all repairs, with a full service starting at £36 (incl. VAT), additionally we are able to repair / replace gears, brakes, wheels, tyres and pads.

We suggest you should have your bike serviced on an annual basis in order to keep it safe, it is usually possible to call in and have your bike serviced the same day, but call in advance to confirm availability. We hold a wide range of Maddison Shimano parts, but offer next day delivery on any parts required for repair.

Bikes for Hire

Blackboy Hill Cycles offer two models of bike for hire – the City Runner and the Cycle Track. We usually have good availability during the week, but it is worth booking in advance for the weekend.

We provide locks, helmets and maps of local areas in Bristol, free of charge with every cycle hire.

Bikes need to be collected and returned to the shop on Whiteladies Road in Bristol, and a form of ID such as a driving licence or passport is needed as security against the hire of the bike.
