Description
The Bristol Honda Pitbulls is a single club with two teams playing in the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) National Division and South Division 2.
From 2021, both teams will play in the new ice rink at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, after spending many years playing their games in Oxford due to the closure of Bristol’s previous ice rink in 2012.
The Bristol Honda Pitbulls were formed in 2009 by Richie Hargreaves, giving the city their first senior team since 1993. In that time, the team has developed a reputation for triumphing over adversity, winning two league and a playoff title.
It has always been the club’s ambition to bring the sport back to their home city. Not just at a professional level, but to build a pathway for the grassroots all the way up to the Pitbulls and beyond.
To make Bristol and the South-West a centre of excellence for the sport for those who have the talent and ambition.
To give a fun and inclusive environment for those who have neither but who still get great enjoyment out of playing or even just being around the sport.
