Spikes and wires can be applied to ledges and roosting areas and on a bigger scale bird netting can be applied to cover to whole area.

Solar panels on your roof are a great way of reducing the carbon footprint of your home but can also invite some unwanted pests on to your roof.

Pigeons have found solar panels to be a very effective shelter to nest below. Not only can this be the cause of a secondary parasite infestation (see falconry for info) but will also cause a mess with fouling on the roof and solar panels and will lead to an increase in solar panel cleans.

Nesting materials may also slide down the roof in heavy down pours and cause blockages in your guttering.
