Who are Pennys Group?

From small beginnings hiring our tractors from the family back garden, Pennys Group has grown to be one of the South West’s major contractors for demolition, earthworks and waste management services.

We can either undertake the work for you, or you can choose to hire plant from our large fleet of transport and plant for hire.

Based near Bath, we have our own recycling centre which processes everyday waste, produces compost from green waste and aggregates. We also have a horticultural depot which supplies soil and natural building stone.

From demolishing large city-centre office blocks to soft-strip work in schools, we take on a wide variety of demolition work.

Based near Bath, we carry out demolition services across the South West, and further into the Midlands, South Wales, and the south coast.

We have the equipment and experience to undertake almost any demolition project. With machines that can reach up to 44m, our own fleet of tippers, and specialist Hitachi demolition plant, we have great in-house resources.

We have an experienced team, who will ensure that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimum disruption.

All our staff are CSCS,CCDO, CPCS and UKATA trained with the team led by SSSTS qualified supervisors. Pennys Demolition is a member of the National Demolition Training Group NDTG which was formed by the National Federation of Demolition Contractors NFDC to promote and develop safe and efficient work practise within the demolition industry.

Waste Management Bristol & Bath

We are able to offer a bespoke waste management solution for bulk cart-away of inert, non-hazardous and hazardous soils. With strong technical expertise in house we are able to manage problematic waste streams and complex sites.

The technical team are also able to assist with soil sampling, testing and analysis.
Being Level 4 WAMITAB Qualified for Inert Landfills, Non-hazardous Wastes and Asbestos – we are also able to provide COTC cover to satisfy EA Requirements, be it for interim or short-term cover for your Waste Management Sites.

We run our own licensed waste disposal site at Green Ore.

Pennys Group has moved on a lot since 1960 when Roger ran the business from his own garden. We now have a well-equipped workshop at our site. This means that all our plant and equipment are meticulously maintained by Penny fitters. Even though they’ve been so well looked after, we still replace our plant and equipment regularly – so you know you’re hiring reliable and working machines.
