Nestled in the heart of our working dairy farm in the beautiful Gordano Valley, Somerset, we offer a truly unique experience for dogs - blending the peace and space of the countryside with five-star comfort and care.

Here, dogs can enjoy the best of both worlds: fresh farm air, open fields, and expert, loving attention in a calm, luxurious setting designed entirely around their wellbeing.

Luxury Dog Boarding
Every guest at The Country Canine enjoys a carefully balanced blend of activity, relaxation, and enrichment - the perfect countryside holiday for your dog.

Each stay includes access to our hydro pool for fitness, recovery, and fun splashing; a soothing spa experience for relaxation and coat care; and a variety of daily enrichment activities designed to keep tails wagging and minds happy.

Our dogs enjoy the freedom to explore our sensory field, play in our secure sound arena, and join in farm field walks where they can take in new scents, sights, and even safely meet our friendly cows!

Doggy Day Care
Our dogs enjoy enriching activities and sensory experiences. Outdoors, they can explore our 1,800 m² secure sand play area and secure grass field.

Back at the barn, dogs can unwind to relaxing music or take a dip in our hydro pool for some fun swimming. We also include brushing zones to keep coats healthy & looking great, basic manners refreshers - sit, recall, loose-lead walking, and impulse-control games - to help reinforce good behaviour while they play.

Regular daycare guests can enjoy baths, weekly weigh-ins, and discounted grooming, keeping them fresh, healthy, and happy.

Dog Grooming
Tucked away on our working dairy farm just outside Portishead, our Dog Grooming Spa is the perfect place for a little country pampering. We believe every dog deserves to look, feel, and smell their best - all in a calm, friendly environment where they can truly relax.

Our spa features gentle warm hydro baths, soft dryers, and a handpicked selection of luxury shampoos, conditioning sprays, and pawfumes to suit every coat type. Whether it’s a quick freshen-up or a full pamper session, we make sure your dog leaves clean, comfortable, and wagging with joy.

Hydro Pool
We’re so excited to share some big news from our countryside retreat on our working dairy farm in Somerset, just outside of Portishead - in early 2026, we’ll be making life on the farm even more fun with the addition of our Dog Hydro Pool!

Set in the peaceful surroundings of our family dairy farm, our hydro pool offers dogs a safe, supervised space to swim, splash, and build confidence in the water. It will be used by our daycare and hotel guests as part of their enriching farm experience - and will also be available for private hire, so every pup can enjoy some countryside swim time.
