Description
Lithographic Printmaking Studio in Bristol
The Lemonade Press is an independent lithography studio in Bristol, England, where they focus on lithographic printmaking, plate graining and courses in lithography. They also host artist residencies and are the only print studio in the area dedicated to hand lithography. Their facilities support stone, plate and photo‑plate lithography, offered both as a collaborative editioning service for artists and as independent studio access for experienced lithographers.
The studio has the rare advantage of a plate graining machine, an important resource for lithographers across the UK. They also supply aluminium ball grained plates, which can be ordered through their website or requested directly for a quote.
The principal printmaker at The Lemonade Press is Catherine Ade, an experienced artist and printmaker and a UWE MA Multi Disciplinary Printmaking graduate with extensive collaborative editioning experience from her years at The Curwen Studio in London. She also trained at The Tamarind Institute in New Mexico during their 2019 summer workshop, adding further depth to her lithography expertise.
