Description
Tobacco Factory is one of the last survivors from the vast Imperial Tobacco site. It was saved from demolition by architect George Ferguson.
Today, Tobacco Factory is a multi-purpose community hub housing a lively Cafe Bar, Marks Bakery, hire spaces (the Loft, Studio, tent + terrace), and the Sunday Market, as well as meeting spaces, offices for creative businesses and a performing arts school. The building also houses Tobacco Factory Theatres – one of the most exciting performance venues in the country.
Marks Bakery
A pillar of North St for many years, this award-winning artisanal bakery can now be found nestled within Tobacco Factory. Find proper sourdough, spectacular pastries, lunch specials and delicious coffee alongside groceries, farm produce, gifts and homewares. Find out more https://www.marksbakery.co.uk/
Sunday Market
Our bustling Sunday Market (10am – 2.30pm) is the perfect spot to meet with friends, relax with family and discover exceptional food, crafts and produce, made and grown in the local area.
There are around 60 stalls to explore each week, featuring beautifully designed, sustainable and locally made produce – from clothes and jewellery to patisserie and freshly baked bread. At the market you can get to know local makers, artisans, growers and producers, enhancing your ‘shopping local’ experience.
Why not combine a visit to the market with brunch in the Cafe Bar, open from 10am every day.
