Windmill Hill City Farm - more than just a farm!!
Windmill Hill City Farm is an independent community project situated half a mile south of Bristol city centre.
We aim to meet the needs of local people through a wide range of social, environmental, educational, recreational and economic activities.
These include adult education courses, environmental courses, older peoples group, volunteer opportunities, young peoples activities in our Adventure Playground, a Children and Family day care centre, a working farm, Allotments and gardens and a wonderful café with outdoor area.
We also have available for hire, our function rooms, football pitch and a childrens party room.
Alongside our own activities we facilitate the following activities, Yoga, Tai kwando, baby weighing clinic, Bristol Debt advice, AA and many more.
Open 7 days a week 9am to 5pm (4pm Nov to Mar)
Farm & Gardens
The Farm provides an excellent opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about farming and to become actively involved in the production of their food. Animals on the farm include a variety of goats, sheep, pigs and poultry.
Since being founded in the mid 1970s, the Farm has provided an oasis in the city for its visitors. A trip to the Farm and its gardens acts as a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of city life. We recently improved the farm grounds, making them more accessible, attractive and relaxing as part of a major project, Groundwork. We hope you like the results.
